Verodial · Automatic GMT

Blue for day.
Black for night.

The 24-hour bezel is split in two: blue from 6 to 18, black from 18 to 6. Glance at where the blue GMT hand sits and you know whether it's day or night at home before you read the hour.

Pantheon Blue

Automatic GMT watch with black dial, two-tone blue and black 24-hour bezel and steel three-link bracelet, front view

The split falls exactly at 6 and 18 on the bezel, so the colour change marks sunrise and sunset hours.

01 — The idea

The question before the hour

When you call home from another time zone, the first thing you need to know isn't the exact minute. It's whether you'll wake someone up.

A single-colour bezel makes you read the number and work it out. A two-colour bezel answers it by colour alone: GMT hand on blue, it's daytime there; on black, it's night.

02 — Design

Two colours, one rule

The blue on this watch isn't decoration. It appears in exactly two places: the daytime half of the bezel and the GMT hand that reads against it. The colour points you to the one complication that matters.

The rest stays quiet: a black dial with large white-filled indices and a date window at 3 o'clock.

The case and three-link bracelet are 316L stainless steel, with the crown at 3 o'clock and nothing else on the case.

03 — Build

Wound by your wrist

There is no battery inside. A rotor, visible through the exhibition caseback, swings as you move and winds the mainspring. Wear it during the day and it keeps running through the night.

The supplier lists the movement as a Pearl DG5833 automatic GMT with a power reserve of around 48 hours, behind a sapphire crystal.

  • Self-winding automatic movement
  • Fourth hand for a second time zone
  • See-through caseback
  • Sapphire crystal

04 — Versatility

Navy, grey, tan, denim

Blue and black sit easily next to the colours most men already wear: a grey or navy suit on weekdays, a tan jacket or denim at the weekend. The steel bracelet carries it through both.

At 40 mm across it fits most wrists. At 14 mm thick it is a sports watch, not a dress watch, and it's built to be worn every day.

05 — Reading it

Colour first, number second

Look at where the blue GMT hand points. On the blue half, it's daytime in your second zone. On the black half, it's night. For the exact hour, read the number it points to: 14 is 2 pm, 2 is 2 am.

The main hands keep local time as usual. The GMT hand and the two-colour bezel handle the other zone.

06 — The value

What you're paying for

The expensive parts of this watch are the ones a photo flattens: a two-colour bezel insert, a fourth hand with the gearing that drives it once a day, a sapphire crystal and a caseback glazed so the movement shows. The full specification is published below so you can check each one before you buy.

  • Automatic GMT movement, four hands and date
  • Two-colour 24-hour bezel
  • 316L stainless steel case and bracelet
  • Free shipping, 30-day returns, Verodial Lifetime Guarantee

08 — Questions

Is the blue the same in person as in the photos?

Screens vary, so treat the photos as a close guide, not an exact match. The bezel is a deep blue on the daytime half and black on the night half. If the shade isn't what you expected, the 30-day return covers unworn pieces in their original packaging.

Will the bracelet fit my wrist?

We haven't published the bracelet length or lug width because we don't yet have a measured figure we can stand behind. If you need it before ordering, contact us.

Can I wear it in water?

The dial and caseback are marked 10 bar / 100 m, which covers swimming and showering. It is not a certified dive watch, so don't take it diving. Push the crown fully home before it meets water.

Inspecting an automatic skeleton watch

Honest watches. Fair prices.

Verodial comes from two words: vero, meaning true, and dial, the face of a watch. That is the whole idea.

We search independent watchmakers for pieces with real specifications — automatic movements, sapphire crystal, solid steel — and bring them to you without the markup of a famous name on the dial. Every watch is chosen for what it is, not for the logo it carries.

Good design, honest materials and a fair price, delivered worldwide.
