Verodial · Rectangular quartz

Slim, square, Roman.

A rectangular case just 9 mm thick, a dial of bold Roman numerals and nothing else to distract: just time and date, on a steel bracelet.

Opal

Slim rectangular watch with black dial, white Roman numerals, date window, polished silver case and steel link bracelet

At 9 mm thick, it sits close to the wrist and slips under a shirt cuff.

01 — The idea

A dress watch should disappear under a cuff

Big, thick watches catch on shirt cuffs and look out of place with a suit.

This one is built the other way: thin, flat and rectangular, with a dial you can read at a glance. It is the watch for a shirt and tie, not for the gym.

02 — Design

Big numerals, clean centre

Large Roman numerals run around the edge of the dial, with a fine minute track outside them. The centre is finished with a subtle radiating pattern and a date window at 3 o'clock.

On the white dial, the hands are blue. On the black dial, they are silver.

The polished rectangular case flows into a steel link bracelet.

03 — Build

Thin by design

A quartz movement keeps the case thin, at 9 mm, and keeps time accurately without winding.

The case is alloy under a hardened mineral crystal. The bracelet is stainless steel, closed with a bracelet clasp, 22 cm long.

  • 9 mm slim case
  • Quartz movement with date
  • Hardened mineral crystal
  • Stainless steel link bracelet

04 — Versatility

Suits, shirts and smart days

The rectangular shape and Roman numerals give it a formal look that works for the office, interviews, weddings and dinners.

The white dial with blue hands is the most classic. The black dial is more modern and easier to wear with dark clothes.

08 — Questions

How big is the case?

The supplier publishes the thickness, 9 mm, but not the width or height of the case, and we won't guess. If you need it before ordering, contact us.

How is it different from the Vintage?

Both are rectangular with Roman numerals. The Opal is slimmer, at 9 mm against 12 mm, and has a cleaner dial without the small sub-dial.

Can I wear it in the shower?

No. It is rated 3 bar, which covers splashes and rain, not showering or swimming.

Inspecting an automatic skeleton watch

Honest watches. Fair prices.

Verodial comes from two words: vero, meaning true, and dial, the face of a watch. That is the whole idea.

We search independent watchmakers for pieces with real specifications — automatic movements, sapphire crystal, solid steel — and bring them to you without the markup of a famous name on the dial. Every watch is chosen for what it is, not for the logo it carries.

Good design, honest materials and a fair price, delivered worldwide.
